Sample Storefronts

Below you will see some examples of storefronts built using various methods. Our preferred way of doing this is by handling and interpreting data feeds directly from the vendor, but there are other ways that can work just as well with some creativity. The first sample is a storefront built with a ready made feed that is available from sources such as Golden Can and Data Feed File. These can be somewhat limiting in look and feel unless you are a programmer and are able to work on the actual code. There are some limited options such as size and color for the display, but overall you will have to use it as it is.

Next is a catalog page built using our preferred method- parsing (or intrepreting) product feeds using our own tools and producing fully customized pages. On this site we used the Joomla! content management system and the excellent Virtuemart Shopping cart component along with a third party tool used for handling the data. As you can see the results are quite a bit better than with ready made feeds.
